Offical Day 1

I really meant to update this last night, but instead I spent time with the hubby instead of hopping online.

So yesterday was offically my first raw day. Not too bad at all. I had strawberries and banana slices for breakfast, cucumber/zucchini salad with peaches on the side for lunch and for dinner I made portabella muchroom sandwiches. Very tasty. Oh and I made myself a smoothie for dessert. I wasn't starving all day, like I thought I would *woohoo*

I also went out and bought my dehydrator and juicer yesterday too. It felt so great to get out there and shop for my raw foods. I bought up everything!! Then went to the health store for my grains and a few other things. I really enjoyed that.

However... last night I felt really "blah" Don't know the word I would use. Even tho it was my first complete raw day, I was 50% over the past weekend and fatfree and non-processed the week before. So I think my one day, really had an impact on my body. It was almost like I was walking around in a fog. Even the hubby thought I seemed alittle "off" :( So I think I will have to start this alittle slower than I wanted to. I will be raw all day ad afternoon but in the evenings I think I still need to have a meal. Atleast until I get some of these raw recipes down. Like veggie burgers, soups, and bigger meals. I would hate to drop like a fly because I'm neglecting my body of many things SO FAST. Ya know....

It is a bit disappointing. I really wanted to be able to do this from day one and not have a problem. This afternoon I made a chicken noodle soup for my daughter who's home sick today and I went to take a bite. Had the spoon to my mouth and I couldn't do it. I couldn't take a bite. I feel so guilty even THINKING about being partial raw. I so wanted to be 100% *sigh* but....

It's near 1pm and I'm doing great. I feel great, etc. But I'm worried about how I will be come this evening... will I be in that "fog" again?!

hey girlie.
there's nothing wrong with taking it a little slow. It is a very extreme transition for you. I don't think there is anything wrong with a healthy cooked dinner and raw all day. I think it is a great start and good way to get your body used to this new lifestyle. I am rooting for you!!! I know you can do this.
